I’m not sure what my life would be like without soccer, and I certainly don’t want to know. It has given me my best friends in the US and abroad, it's presented amazing learning experiences, and offered me endless opportunities. I started playing soccer when I turned four. My older sister was playing at the time, and as her competitive younger sister, I wanted a piece of the action. The team, the cheering crowds, the game, the treats after - the whole experience. Soccer has not only taught me how to be a supportive teammate but a good friend, and a goal oriented, driven person. Soccer demands hard work and dedication. Throughout my career, I have had to become increasingly dedicated in order to grow within the sport. I used to ski race and horseback ride, but I had to sacrifice pursuing those sports given my desire to focus on playing soccer at the next level. I have worked hard over the years to play at the level I am now, but that is the great part about soccer, there’s always more room for growth and improvement. All that matters to me now is to continue to grow, enjoy and achieve through the sport that I love.
